The Sisters on Lake Megunticook The Sisters, two cottages that sleep a combined total of eight, are located on a quiet cove of Lake Megunticook, just 2.2 miles from the center of Camden.
The Lower Lake House is a century old camp with its original, open-stud construction, and sits at water's edge. Use the beach and float to swim, and explore the lake in the provided canoe or rowboat. For afternoon picnics there is a dining table on the deck as well as picnic table & grill on the lawn. In the evenings you can listen to the loons as you enjoy the serenity of this cozy, peaceful setting.
After a day enjoying the lake and town, the Upper Lake House is the perfect location for evening gatherings. Located across the street from the Lower Lake House, it has a large living room/dining room/kitchen area that has a cozy ambiance enhanced by a fireplace. With a spacious deck for grilling and a fully equiped kitchen, this is a great place to meet at night. While it's not on the edge of the water, it has lovely views of the lake and feels more "woodsy" than the Lower Lake House. "The Sisters" rent for a one week minimum and are pet-friendly, although there is a small "fur fee." Please no smoking. ----------What others say.................... "This is our third year here and we are so grateful to be able to enjoy that which you all do..the spectacular view, the quiet mornings, the cry of the loons..." P. Slosson, 2003 "I want you to know how much we enjoyed your beautiful homes--it was perfect for our group with the combination of spaces and proximity to the lake - just gorgeous and beautifully equipped! We managed to use every space for eating and living - decks, lawn, and both living rooms. Being able to be both on the lake and in the woods was very special..All of us had a wonderful time." R.Sundeen, CA 2006 "We had such a great time and will certainly consider "The Sisters" for the future. We were repeatedly impressed by how thoroughly outfitted the cabins were, and that huge kitchen island was perfect for the multi-course extravaganzas that we cooked every night. It was a wonderful experience-- thanks again!" K.Dunsmore, PA 2006
